FAQ.
What's the difference between a face-framing hairline and an SMP hairline?
The face-framing hairline uses strokes to create realistic hair-like lines, suited to larger gaps such as hollow temples or a receded hairline; the SMP hairline uses dots for a soft baby-hair effect, suited to hairlines whose shape is fine but which are thinning. Neither is better — we'll recommend one based on your situation.
Will I need a touch-up?
After the first session, a second touch-up may be needed to add density to thinner areas for a fuller, more natural result.
Can I see the design before colouring?
Yes. We draw the hairline on your forehead with a design pen and adjust it with you until you're happy, before any colour goes on.
Can men have it too?
Yes. Men can bring the hairline forward and fill an M-shaped hairline with SMP — seeSMP · men's hairline.
Is the in-studio consultation free?
Yes. The consultation takes about 20 minutes, one to one, with no hard sell.
